COMMUNION: three stories recorded on audiotapes, three performers and a table.

The audio source of Communion is made up of the recorded life-stories of men who were born between 1910 and 1930. In the performance women born in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s, repeat these stories as they listen to the recordings over headphones. Through this audio and oral transformation process, the original stories become detached from their source and attached to the “new medium” – the 3 female performers. This process also transports the stories from the past to the present.
